Position Description: npT Labs, llc is a socially conscious for-profit think-tank that develops web-driven products and solutions to improve the effectiveness, cost-savings or impact of public-sector organizations. We are a new and growing company in Kansas City looking for smart, civic-minded students to join our team at the ground level on exciting projects. You’ll learn the process of developing ‘Web 2.0′ applications in the Joomla CMS framework, Amazon Computing Cloud with integration of Web APIs, Google Map Language and Facebook Applications.
Requirements: Basic to intermediate understanding of PHP/MYSQL Basic Knowledge of Software Development Process Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) XML Knowledge Basic understanding of Ajax methods Ability to work in a virtual environment, utilizing email, instant messenger and online collaboration software Self-Provided transportation (downtown Kansas City, KS) and laptop Excellent written communication skills Self-driven, motivated, and disciplined with ability to meet deadlines
Pluses (you’ll be learning if not): Joomla Content Management System A tiny bit of Knowledge in GIS and MYSQL spatial extensions (type it in google ) Experience with any Linux Distribution Experience with Source Revision Control (SVN or CVS) Apache Understanding of Object-Orientated Design Patterns and the MVC architecture Google Maps Plus Pluses: In college (community or university) taking at least one course Women/Minorities

Position Description: npT Labs, llc is seeking to hire an energetic self-starter on a part-time intern basis to focus on the marketing and sales needs of the NonProfit 2.0 project. The intern will work with the project director to create marketing and sales strategies, including brand-creation, customer-pitches, product development, webinars, and advertising pieces. You’ll learn the tools of the trade, including Google Apps, Joomla, Jing, Video Creation, and CiviCrm. Product Description: NonProfit 2.0 is a complete package of Web 2.0 tools and strategies for nonprofits to extend their limited dollars and staff time to tackle constituent relationship management, online payments, registrations, volunteer management, staff management and web 2.0 strategies. Marketing Duties: Work with a team to create tutorials, verbage and brand awareness for the NonProfit 2.0 toolkit. Sales: Respond to inquiries and prepare informational emails and demos for potential customers Work with a team to create a Demo video of the Noprofit 2.0 system
Learning Objectives: Intern will learn to utilize Salesforce.com, Joomla Content Management System, Web 2.0 websites and GoogleApps.
